Who We Are?

We are the members of Israel’s bereaved families. Our loved ones fell defending the existence of the State of Israel. We proudly wave the Israeli flag, which symbolizes for all of us the establishment of the Jewish national homeland in a free, independent country. We pay a heavy personal price every day of our lives for what our loved ones sacrificed. Our eyes are opened wide with concern about the threat to the free and democratic country for which our sons, our daughters, our parents, and our brothers and sisters fought. Today, 50 years after this bloody (Yom Kippur) war, and 75 years after the establishment of the State of Israel, we are forced to fight once again to fight for Israel’s character, and for the values enshrined in the Declaration of Independence: Liberty, Justice, Civil Rights and Religious Freedom.A Legacy Worth Defending
In the name of the memory and legacy of our loved ones, freedom fighters and defenders of the homeland, and for the future of the country and its citizens, we are fighting an uncompromising civil struggle against an enemy from within. An enemy that challenges the validity of the Declaration of Independence and threatens to disconnect our country from its fundamental values.
We will not allow the achievements of their sacrifice to be pushed aside and obscured by forces that strive to change the regime in a way that is inconsistent with the values of the Declaration of Independence. We will not allow the forces holding key positions to operate against the citizens of the country and against its institutions. An unreasonable force that threatens individual freedoms, divides society, and erodes the trust and loyalty that the citizens of the country have with its leaders.Upholding our Values
This is not a debate between right and left. This is a fight for the existence and fundamental values of our homeland – liberty, equality, civil rights, and religious freedom. With their bravery, our soldiers made it possible for the citizens of the State of Israel to continue to live safely, to develop, and to prosper.
In their death, our loved ones left behind for us the right to live in an independent and free country, loyal to the principles of the United Nations Charter and the Israeli Declaration of Independence. And today, we in our lives, will not give up neither their sacred memory nor our hope – to live free in our homeland.
